These terms apply when you use the Keyloom website, the Keyloom panel for Adobe After Effects (“the plugin”) and the motion elements in the library (“items”). Keyloom is operated by Keyloom (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password and two-factor codes safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Do not share it, sell it or use it to get around limits.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live (and at least 16).
2. Free and Premium
- Free items can be used by anyone with an account. Premium items need an active Premium subscription.
- Premium costs $4.99 per month, billed through PayPal. The price shown at checkout is what you pay. You can cancel at any time from Billing or from your PayPal account; you keep Premium until the end of the month you paid for.
- Refunds: if you were charged by mistake or could not use Premium because of a problem on our side, write to [email protected] within 14 days and we will refund that month. Otherwise, payments are not refunded, as the whole library is available as soon as you pay.
- If a payment fails, Premium pauses until PayPal can collect it.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next month.
3. Using items (license)
When you apply an item with Keyloom, you receive a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use it inside your own projects, for yourself or for clients, including commercial work (videos, ads, social media, broadcast, presentations).
- You may modify items, combine them with your work and publish the rendered result.
- You may not resell, share, re-upload or redistribute items themselves (the After Effects project files, templates or their parts), alone or in a pack, template, library or marketplace — even modified or for free.
- You may not use items to build a competing library, or to train machine-learning models to reproduce them.
- Work you rendered while you had access stays licensed after your subscription ends. You simply cannot apply new Premium items.
- Fonts shown in an item follow their own licenses. Items only use free or Adobe fonts; installing or activating them is your responsibility.
4. Fair use and abuse
- Use the plugin and the website as intended. No scraping, bulk downloading, automated use, or attempts to get around the license check, rate limits or the premium lock.
- Creators are paid from how subscribers use their items, so do not create fake uses (for example with several accounts). Suspicious activity is excluded from creator earnings and can lead to account suspension.
5. Requests and content you post
Requests you post on the request board must be lawful and respectful. We may edit or remove them. By posting, you allow us to show them publicly.
6. Creators
Publishing items is covered by the Creator agreement, which creators accept in addition to these terms.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe an item infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the item link, proof that you own the work and your contact details. We review every complaint quickly and remove items that infringe.
8. Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after telling you why when the law allows. Paid time that was not used is refunded if we close your account without a breach on your side.
9. The service
- We work to keep Keyloom available and the items working in supported versions of After Effects, but we do not guarantee that the service is uninterrupted or error-free.
- Items are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect losses (lost profits, lost data, missed deadlines).
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes we email you at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using Keyloom afterwards, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel and close your account.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. We will always try to solve a problem by email first: [email protected].
